Small Grants for Research on Private Land in Central Texas
Deadline: March 11, 2005
Funding Amount: $1000 to $5000
Eligibility: UT-Austin graduate students and faculty
Are you doing or planning to do field research in Central Texas? If so, we have up to 20 grants available for graduate students and faculty who are interested in doing research on private lands.

The grants range from $1000 to $5000, and there are fourteen properties available for research that contain over 12,600 acres of land in Central Texas.
Up to twenty projects can be funded this year from a funding pool of $50,000. Because the funding for these grants has been provided by local landowners who are interested in supporting environmental research on their lands, some portion of the field research must take place on one of the contributing properties.
The grant opportunity is offered by the Environmental Science Institute in partnership with Plateau Land and Wildlife Management.
What are the properties like?
Detailed descriptions of the properties and the amount of funds available for each property can be found at the following website: www.plateauwildlife.com/OSR/default.htm.
Individuals can apply for funding from more than one property, however not all of the properties listed have funding available. If you have any further questions about the properties after reviewing the website, please contact Cassie Gresham of Plateau Land and Wildlife Management at 512-894-5426.
