More Photos!   ( Jan. 20, 2008 )
Beginning with the photo of the parakeet.

1. I used the bathroom in this tiny little bar in a tiny town, and this little guy was the bathroom monitor.

2. This is the ecological preserve where we searched for Psiguria on Saturday. NO, the trails were not this nice; they were all mud!

3. This is the greatest extent of wildlife I?ve seen ? chickens!

4. Karla Meza, my guide in Iquitos. She is holding a beautiful flower called Costa. The man behind her led us through the preserve. He carried a machete to clear the way for us when necessary.

5. Cool flower called Heliconia marginata.

6. A giant palm tree. You can see how big it is by the guide standing next to it.

7. ?Nuestros animales estan desapareciendo poco a poco. Tenemos que protegerlos.? Our animals are disappearing little by little. We have to protect them.

8. That?s me sitting on a big, strong liana. Lianas are giant vines.

9. Can you find the frog among the leaf litter?
