Back in La Paz   ( Jan. 12, 2008 )
The internet in the little cafe in Santa Cruz was down on Thursday night. They were working on it on Friday, but I was too tired to wait for them. So, now (Saturday) I?m back in La Paz at the same hotel with the free internet. I just uploaded several photos, and I wrote descriptions of them that I will send in a separate journal entry.

On Thursday, I had the best day ever searching for Psiguria! I found a beautiful, healthy plant covered with butterflies on the first stop. Then, there were 3 more along the highway, several kilometers apart. I was in heaven! Psiguria is very rare to find, and I found at least 4 individuals several kilometers apart.

On Friday, we didn?t find any more Psiguria, but that?s okay, I don?t have to be greedy! Hopefully I will find some other species in Peru, my next stop!

We returned the rental car, then went to the same little restaurant as on Tuesday. I ate Picante Chicken. It was kinda tough, but okay. Oscar ate beef tongue, yuk!

This morning we flew back here to La Paz. Tomorrow I will fly to Lima, Peru for the next leg of the journey.
