The first day of searching   ( Jan. 9, 2008 )
Well, I hope I don?t use up all of my luck at the beginning of the trip. I found one Psiguria individual on the first day! I can?t believe it! I?m exhausted, and I have an even longer day of driving and hiking around searching for specimens tomorrow, so I?m going to make a short entry today.

We were walking down a trail near a river north of Santa Cruz, and I found a plant that looks a lot like Psiguria called Cayaponia. Then, just a few meters past that, I found a Psiguria vine with fruits on it. I?ll post pictures on Saturday when I?m back in La Paz in a nice cool room.

I hope I have more luck tomorrow!
