The State Energy Conservation Office (SECO)
The State Energy Conservation Office (SECO) is an office of the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. SECO helps Texas make the most of domestic energy, reduce state and local government energy costs and promote cost-effective clean energy technologies. SECO's mission is to maximize energy efficiency while protecting the environment.
The Alliance to Save Energy (ASE)
The Alliance to Save Energy (ASE) promotes energy efficiency worldwide to achieve a healthier economy, a cleaner environment, and greater energy security. Energy efficiency is the quickest, cheapest, cleanest way to extend our world's energy supplies.
Our nation’s institutions of higher education spend a significant portion of their annual operating budgets on utility services, diverting funds from valuable programmatic and community-building activities. The Alliance to Save Energy’s Green Campus Program is leading the way towards campus sustainability by bridging the divide between students and institutional energy costs. Through Green Campus, students are working to save energy on campuses by building general campus awareness, incorporating energy conservation and efficiency into course curricula, and implementing projects targeting energy use, student purchasing decisions, and operational changes.

The Campus Environmental Center
The Campus Environmental Center is the main organization for UT students interested in the environment. We are an agency of Student Government. Our mission is to reduce the University's environmental impact and promote environmental stewardship within the student body. The CEC runs numerous projects that help improve the campus environment, including aluminum, plastic, and ink cartridge recycling, the Treash to Treasure move out donation drive, litter cleanups, energy conservation, sustainable food, on-campus gardens, and many more.
