About TRACS
TRACS was formed at the recent Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) conference in Raleigh, North Carolina in Fall 2008. During an informal gathering, a group representing eleven Texas Campuses discussed the possibility of forming a Texas regional version of AASHE, and TRACS was the result; since then, it has quickly drawn attention and support from universities across Texas.
With the support of SECO and encouragement from many faculty, staff and students from Texas campuses, the University of Texas at Austin hosted the first meeting of TRACS in March of 2009.
