Earth Day Dallas

Earth Day TexasEarth Day Texas is an annual, outdoor festival seeking to elevate environmental awareness and influence the way North Texans think, live and work. The family-friendly and free-admission event allows leaders in the corporate, academic, and non-profit worlds to unite and show North Texans how green lifestyle choices can lower their cost of living, improve their health, and help save the environment.

The event will utilize approximately 600,000 square feet of both indoor and outdoor event space. Earth Day Texas’ footprint is predicted to accommodate 600 exhibitors and 75,000 guests at this year’s event.

ESI’s booth at Earth Day Texas will feature information about its environmental science (EVS) degree program, ongoing research, and public education and outreach. For those teachers outside of the UT-Austin area, ESI offers support to teachers and other groups who want to host their own Satellite Viewing event with Hot Science – Cool Talks lectures.  Satellite Viewing participants receive ESI support to build their event with lessons plans and learning modules relevant to the lecture topic, a special “shout out” during the lecture, and the opportunity to participate live in the post-lecture Q & A with the speaker.
